Jazzy: What inspired you to join Tik Tok?
Rich Black Guy: I created content on Instagram for awhile, until someone random reached out to me to try out Tik Tok. A cool, calm, and collective color. Sort of matches my personality. Jazzy: If you could go back in time to speak to the kid version of yourself, what would you tell them and why? Rich Black Guy: Invest in Bitcoin, Google, and Amazon. Jazzy: What was the first anime that inspired your lifestyle? Rich Black Guy: I don’t think anime really inspired my lifestyle. I just like to watch it sometimes. Haha. Jazzy: Do you believe young influencers should go to college? Rich Black Guy: If the opportunity is there for you, of course! There’s some life long lessons to learn in college (or at least through my experience.) Plus, it would be a great place to explore your content creating even more. Jazzy: What’s your favorite dessert and why? Rich Black Guy: Cheesecake. I don’t know why. It just taste good to me and I can’t get enough of it. |

Instagram Interview #1 Black Girls Anime
Jazzy: What inspired you to make Black Girls Anime?
Black Girls Anime: When I first created this account I was at a really low point in my life. I was extremely depressed and just needed an outlet. Here's a funny story about the origins of Black Girls Anime; I actually created this account by mistake! I didn’t think that answering a simple question from Facebook that asked me if would I like to create a page, would soon turn into what we are all looking at today. Jazzy: What’s your advice for young black women wanting to get into the anime/cosplay community? Black Girls Anime: The advice I would give to any young woman or any young person that wants to get into the anime world in any form is just be yourself. I will also advise to be genuine and authentic and to always take responsibility for your actions when you do something wrong. Jazzy: What’s your favorite animal and why? Black Girls Anime: My favorite animal has to be the lion because they are the protectors and guardians of the kingdom. I love how majestic and strong they are and their willingness to defend those who mean the world to them. The lion is a symbolization of strength, beauty, and leadership I just have no choice but to stan. Jazzy: What was the very first anime/manga you watched/read? Black Girls Anime: The first manga I ever read I believe was Wish by the talented women of Clamp. There was just something so special about a manga where the protagonist is an angel who designs to earth and meets the love of her life on top of seeing her mentor be in love with the devil son and running away to earth to be together even with the loom of expulsion from both heaven and hell. I’ll never forget reading that series and just loving the artwork in the plot in the characters will always be my favorite first series I ever read. My first anime series will be the legendary Sailor Moon who is the princess of the moon kingdom. I was about five or so years old when I first discovered this magical being who could transform into this amazing warrior. I never forgot how she made me feel and how excited I was and how obsessed I became to know more about this amazing person. Even though she was scared to protect those she knew she still mustered the courage to transform in Sailor Moon and save them! Sailor Moon was just amazing to me and I was like this is who I want to be when I grow up. Still to this day Sailor Moon still means the world to me. Jazzy: Who is your favorite anime character and why? Black Girls Anime: Over the years I’ve had many favorite characters but I think the character that I most love to the end of time which is crazy to a lot of people will always be my loud but hard-working son Asta from Black Clover. Over the last couple of years, he’s really grown to be one of the most important characters I’ve ever laid my eyes on. There’s something about Asta that has grown so much on me that he’s replaced any other favorite characters I’ve probably ever had in his lifetime. Go watch Black Clover and get to know my amazing son! Jazzy: If you could be in any anime/ video game world, where would you choose and why? Black Girls Anime: If I could be in any anime world I would love to be in My Hero Academia because I love how intense that show is. I love the fact that majority of the people in the world have this thing called a quirk and you’re either a villain or hero! I’m the type of person that would love to be a villain because being a good person in My Hero Academia looks exhausting and sometimes people become ungrateful when you are put on his podium as a hero! However when you’re a villain you can do what you want, say what you want, and nobody can say anything to you because they don’t expect much from you! You're basically on the easy street! The only people that hates you are the heroes because you’re making their lives difficult! But hey; that’s their problem! In my opinion being a villain in My Hero Academia seems easy and fun! You don’t have to be a person that’s really doing like tragic things. You’re just someone who doesn’t care enough to do the right thing. |

Instagram interview #2 hard Stop Lucas
Jazzy: What inspired you to start making skits?
Hard Stop Lucas: The main thing that inspired me to start making skits was boredom. At the time i started, I was in high school and didn’t really have anything to do once I got home so i made videos on Vine! I used to post 3 videos a day on there when I first began and that really used to keep me entertained! Jazzy: Did you expect your skits to blow up as big as they are now? Hard Stop Lucas: I don’t think anyone can expect their videos to blow up, I definitely didn’t think mine would! Early on in my skit making career, my videos were horrible!😂 I’m not going to lie, I was just making them for fun. But once i started the whole “Loudmouth” persona a year after making videos, that’s when i started to attract attention. It’s still crazy to me how far I’ve come! Jazzy: What is your advice for young black people who want to make original funny skits? Hard Stop Lucas: My advice to them would be consistency is key (not to sound cliche) but it is important if you truly want your content to grow and be relevant. You may not blow up immediately and that’s okay because if you truly believe in your craft then your time will definitely come. Make sure you’re putting 100% in! Jazzy: What is your favorite drink in the entire world and why? Hard Stop Lucas: My favorite drink is WATER!! Nothing better than that...I also like the “SIMPLY PINEAPPLE MANGO SMOOTHIES” 😂 it’s just so delicious, 10/10...highly recommend! Jazzy: What anime/cartoon character that inspires you and why? Hard Stop Lucas: I can’t say i really get much inspiration from any outside sources but if i had to say one, it’ll probably be Family Guy 😂 been watching FG all my life basically and they’re creativity and humor is just top tier!! Jazzy: What’s your favorite soap to use and why? Haha! Hard Stop Lucas: See I’m a soap and body wash type of guy 😁 Dove soap is always reliable, same as Old Spice body wash...plus will leave you smelling so damn nice afterwards as a bonus! |

tik tok interview #2
I grew up in Fayetteville/Fort Bragg, a military town in North Carolina. Growing up Army is it’s own unique culture, and the community is one of the most supportive you will find. As a teenager, my town lifted me up as a singer and creative, and I performed at local events and in bars constantly. I owe a lot of who I am to my hometown. The last sport I played was softball when I was 10 years old, and I asked the coach if I could be the “star catcher.” Needless to say, sports were not my forte. I do enjoy getting outdoors and hiking or biking. Every club I’ve ever joined has just been an organic gathering of artists at open mics and small house shows. No stats to report, no meetings to attend, just art. I went to East Carolina University, though I’d tell most people now to save their money if they’re looking to go into the arts and just attend a la carte classes. I was inspired to begin making vlog style TikToks because I wanted to set myself apart from the rest. My trend chasing content was not making any impact, and my vlogs on YouTube were sitting in the shallow end of the view pool, so I decided to go out on a whim and make a vlog for the TikTok format. I posted my first vlog having no clue it would get over 3 million views and become number one under the vlog hashtag. Now, I’ve seen an explosion of creators making vlogs on TikTok, and I think it’s awesome. I was inspired to start making TikToks when a random video I uploaded just because got almost 40k views. I posted the video and then deleted the app, cause I was feeling discouraged. When I re-downloaded the app a month later and saw that the one video I posted got a lot of views, I realized I could actually make content people enjoy. In 10 years, I see myself guiding others through hardship by creating content that lifts people up. Of course I want a lot of followers... (Continued) but I’d rather have an audience that I can impact positively. |
