17 interview with Lost in Atlantis!

Picture

So LIA came to my school during Thanksgiving break. I know it was awhile back and my interview with them had to be postponed until I got my labby back! But I hope you guys got the chance to listen to them and check them out as I wrote about them right before my laptop broke. So now you guys can check out this interview I finally snagged with them!

1.What was it like to have your song featured on MTV Latino?
Finding out that our first music video for our band called Tek No would be featured in MTV Latin America was a huge honor. We all felt so accomplished and shocked since it was so early in our bands career. We gained so many fans from that feature that still continue to stick to out band and we are so grateful for MTV Latin to have chosen our band and hopefully we will be able to get our other music videos too.

2. Where do you guys expect yourselves in 5 years? In five years we expect to be still touring and hopefully signed by a label. Hopefully we will be able to be touring in other parts of the world like in Europe and Asia.

3. What major bands do you guys hope to work with in the future? We hope to work with some major bands like Muse, Paramore, Lady Gaga.

4. What state do you guys love more: Cali or Arizona? That's a tough question to answer since Our band is split in half. I would say that both Arizona and California have good qualities about them. But California does have an ocean.

 5. What is everyone's favorite candy, and why?

Since Liz is a diabetic, she likes anything that sugar-free. David, the drummer, doesn't really need that many sweets. Ryan, the lead guitar player, loves cereal so I guess you can count that as candy since he's always eating it. And I'm pretty sure that Tim and Eric love anything that is sweet.

*Special Interview*16th

Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait, almost a hiatus. But your gurl, went to work! I call it fate, but you know! I stumbled across ex guitarist of a fab band called Accuser. The person who I got a chance to snag a interview is Robert Silva.. (And guys, he also has a chill clothing company called Blacklist Industries. So all you punks, get on it!} Now, now here is the interview. {Sorry, I forgot to snag a picture with him!}

1. How did you feel when you were signed to Rise Records?
It was a pending contract. tony from American Me had shown Craig from Rise records our music, and he wanted to sign us. He wanted to bring us down to Oregon to record. I was pretty excited because I always wanted to play on tour and get signed.

2. Did you ever compete in the Battle of the Bands?
No, because my band-mates had been in well known bands. We didn't have to completely start from the bottom.

3. Did you ever perform at Warped Tour?
No. We didn't get that far. We barely finished recording our record.

4. What was your favorite part of being in a band?
The friendship. Just being productive.

5. Would you ever think about coming back into the music industry?
I've spend many years making bands from the ground up, and after Accuser, with all the hard work put in it, and the end result was failure...not right now. I wanted to step away from the music industry after that.

15th interview with Rivals!

Picture

Whoo! 15! One step closer to infinity. xD Check these sweet interview out!

1. What state do you guys want to visit/tour first?
As far as touring goes we don't want to limit ourselves so we'd like to tour the whole country eventually! We'd love to play in Melbourne, Victoria as well!

2. How did you guys meet, before becoming Rivals?
We were all pretty good friends before hand, all of us lived around the same area.

3. What is your favorite color and why?
Blue. I don't know if I could say why.

4. What labels do you guys want to be signed too?
We have no idea haha. UNFD could be pretty cool

 5. Where do you guys see the band in five years?
I don't want to sound cocky but we don't have any excuse to not be playing internationally. We're releasing our first Ep in maybe the next few months, hopefully things will start looking a lot better then!

14th interview with NightShade!

Picture
Yay! 14 is a huge double digit number! But your gurlll here snagged a quick interview with them. c:

1. What state would you guys love to come to in America?
I would love to visit Nevada for Las vegas and California too especially for San Francisco and to be able to visit Alcatraz.

2. Are American fans different than French fans?
Yes, the first part speak in English and the second in French :p

3. What American bands would you guys like to work with?
I would love to work with band such as Born Of Osiris, Black Dahlia Murder, Within The Ruins and many more.
And for a Remix, I would love to collaborate with Krewella.

4. Is there a difference between touring in France and in America?
A little bit. In USA you mostly always sleep in your van on a WalMart parking lot, but when you play in France, the promoter provides you with accommodations (hotel room etc…). And in France, you don't need to drive that much from a city to an other one.

5. Fun Question: What is your favorite color, and why?
Green, I don't know why especially.. All I know is my car is green, Kick Ass is green, Buzz Lightyear is green… and i love it :)

Finally reached double digits! Tenth interview!

Picture
Wow! I can not believe this! Ten interviews already? How cool!! I got to interview Love Prevention. Check it out!

1. What inspired you guys to come together to form LP?
Jariel Warbucks: Well my cousin moved from Germany where he grew up. He knew that I sang and played guitar in another band in Seattle but we had broken up and I moved back to SoCal. So he made some beats on his computer and asked me to lend my vocals to them. I had actually given up on music for a while and I was hesitant but ended up saying yes. After I was done, he played it back for me and I really loved how it sounded. It sounded hip and, new and unique. Months later we recorded some more. We shared our vision and he came up with the name Love Prevention after I had written more lyrics to about 8 songs. Currently we have been busy outlining our first full album entitled 'Effective Schizo.' We will be recording it at Rock City Studios in Camarillo, CA.

Stafford Cadle: Well I had to convince Jariel to do something musical with me. He had just broken up with his girlfriend at the time and he was not feeling like doing much. But as he said, he ended up saying yes and now we have what we have. We are excited about the band and where we can take it. I think that we can go as far as we want as long as we are together. I'm not going anywhere and I love making beats. I think Jariel is a good writer and lyricist. He was working on a crime novel at the time and I kind of interfered with him finishing the novel. LOL! But I'm sure he didn't mind because we were able to make a band that I think is very unique. Jariel came up with the idea of adding a metal sound to it with electric guitar which you don't hear much of in our EP 'Not For Hire.' But when we complete our first album which is in the works, the metal sound will take over in 'Effective Schizo'

2. What bands would you guys like to collab with?
Jariel Warbucks: I would love to one day collab with Crystal Castles. I'm in love with their sound and hope one day to meet them. But I go to a lot of open mics in my area to meet new artists and collab with them for now

.Stafford Cadle: So many good band out there and my taste in music is so diverse. How about all of them? LOL! But we both listen to a ton of music.

3. Do you guys know who Blake Bliss is? If so, would you guys collab on a sucide awareness song?
Jariel Warbucks: I had no idea who Blake Bliss was, but I did look him up. I like what he is doing and his music sounds great. I know I would love to meet the guy and create a song

.Stafford Cadle: I like his style. He stands for good things, and so do we. If we are all of like mind we can make it happen.

4. What is your favorite hobby aside from music?
Jariel Warbucks: I love sports. I don't play them much anymore but I do hike, ride my bike, and go to the beach a lot. I keep myself active. Makes me feel better and I don't get fat. LOL!

Stafford Cadle: I wish I was as active as Jariel. But Um, I do love to read, and play video games. My hands get a good workout. LOL!.. I do love to hike and a use to be a pretty good skater.

5. Would you guys ever want to perform at Warp Tour?
Jariel Warbucks: I would say that we want to perform first at Burning Man and Cochella before anything else.

Stafford Cadle: I tend to agree. The Warp Tour is something that we would love to do if they would accept our genre of music there. I know they cater to a lot of punk bands and we have that influence but it would be up to them. For right now we are getting ready to tour all over LA in the Summer. So we will see where we end up performing soon enough.

Ninth interview!

Picture
Guess who just got their ninth interview? C: Me! And it's Luke River from Survivethenight! Check it out!!

1. What bands would you like to collab with?
Breathe Carolina, kill paradise, the ready set.

2. How did you become interested in using screamo vocals in your songs?
My favorite bands have always had screamo in the music, like Underoath, We Came As Romans and the Devil Wears Prada, so I wanted to add one of my favorite elements to my own music.  Now a days I don't really listen to that much screamo, or electronica for that matter.  I mostly listen to like pop punk or acoustic or indie, like Mayday Parade, The Wonder Years, and Ice Nine Kills to name a few.

3. How did you learn to be able to scream for an entire song?
A lot of practice.  And a lot of sore throats.  It took almost a year to learn the correct technique, but once you get it its pretty simple to keep doing.

4.  What's your favorite hobby outside of music?
It would have to be either Pokemon cards or riding my long board.

5. What's your favorite animal?
Dogs! I have four of them.

Eighth interview!!

Picture

.I would like to do a song with with Ray Lewis on it...that would be sick.

3. What's your favorite food to eat?
Subway eat fresh in the studio/or pizza.

4. What inspires you to rap?
I rap for the love of music & those who done it before me.

5. What's your favorite color?
Blue.

Seventh interview!!

Picture
Guess who got the house rocking? Shinobi Ninja!! C: Yeahh buddy!! Hahaha they got me their crazy answers! Check it out!
1. For Baby G: How did you get into the rock genre? [I personally think you are making the pathway wider for more "Black" people to join the rock field, and allowing the genre to be more diverse race wise (:] (Baby G) Growing up, I had MTV and no BET so that played a big role in my music life. I was able to appreciate music for what it was and not because it was rock or r&b, but music I liked to listen to. I met these guys who r mostly from the rock world and I was like awesome! I was able to transition from a pop artist to a rock artist easily because I never saw rock as  white or black music, but music that I was familiar with, I dig, and lets me be me. :-)

2. What is your favorite thing to do on the tour bus?(DJ Axis Powers) Favorite thing to do on tour bus is hammer curls and tricep extensions with weights to keep arms tight.(Baby G) Watching the shows my mom recorded that we like to watch. ex law and order etc… (Doobie Sims) Make music on the laptop. Hope next tour we do a mixtape recorded in the van and hotel rooms. Lo Fi.(Maniak Mike) Being on the tour bus! If you're on the bus, it means there's a gig, a win, a good time, an expanded family.  (Terminator Dave) My fav thing to do in the van is SLEEP!!!!!!  And blaze, and run round on Facebook connecting with friends while we're out of town for a while(Alien lex) sleep.

3. Would you guys ever collab with LMFAO?(DJ Axis Powers) Would collab with LMFAO if there was song that made sense.  Has to be something that really represents our sound not just some pop bullshit cheesy house. (Baby G) We would collab with anyone.(Doobie Sims) Hell yeah. SNLMFAO!(Maniak Mike) We did for this Pepsi mash up series. It was fun. Big ups to their peeps for making that a reality.  (Terminator Dave)  Way back in. The day, we covered an lmfao song for Pepsi. It was awesome.  If they still were together, we'd make some dope party rock. (Alien lex) i love making music so I would collab with any1 who i can vibe with.

4. Has the bus ever broke down during a tour?(DJ Axis Powers) We broke down on the way from florida to georgia and some crazy mechanic with his wife fixed our trailer. He had to go pick up a part and we waited by the side of the highway for couple hours. He came back fixed it and we made it to Atlanta right as we had to hit the stage. (Baby G) Yes. On our way to Atl. (Doobie Sims) On way to atlanta. spooky. Thankfully it was in the summer and we had a football to pass the time. We saw an armadillo walking in the grass. Maybe we were in texas when it happened? (Maniak Mike) A while ago I was sleeping in the back of the van when I woke up as we were pulled over by an off duty cop who happened to see that the axle on our trailer had caught fire. This guy had come in just the right time too because the wheels of the trailer had pretty much another mile before they would have traveled right off the axle. The trailer would have also caught fire. That would have really sucked or us all!! We ended up stranded on the side of the road while a hillbilly mutilated his hands fixing the axle. 7 hours in total. We were in northern FL and had a gig in ATL later that night that we made with 10 minutes to spare. We crushed it!! We sold merch, we took lots of pictures, we did an interview. We won the day. (Terminator Dave) Our van is pretty beast....it usually gets us to where we gotta go.  One night right after we loaded into this venue in Boston next to Fenway park, our transmission blew...but right after a 4 hour drive from NYC.  I think I probably trashed it trying to get out of a snowbank in Brooklyn...after the gig, the band went home on a bus and me and our tour manager stayed behind with the van.  Since it was Saturday and nobody would tow us till Monday, we stuck around at our dude Adam Jensen's house.  I paid the parking lot that had the van in it for two days so we wouldn't get impounded.  We come back on Monday 10 minutes after the van and trailer and trailer were towed!!!!   Long story short, I freaked out, got myself back together, towed the van from the impound lot to the mechanic, and got a u-haul to tow the trailer home to NYC.  Woah (Alien lex) We don't have a tour bus but our van broke down once in Florida. It was hot and we made our gig in Atlanta by literally 15 mins b4 our set started. Fun times after being stranded for 7 hours tho love Atlanta

5. What states have the best food to eat during a tour?[Everyone's opinion please. C:](DJ Axis Powers) Burgers in Cali, Barbeque in Texas and Cheese in Wisconsin.(Baby G) Texas FISH TACOS!!!  (Doobie Sims) Any state that has a waffle house. Austin Texas has some good tabbouleh. Charlotte North Carolina has good soul food. (Maniak Mike) Texas has amazing food. So does California. Any state with relaxed marijuana laws. Any state that has Waffle House.  (Terminator Dave)  The south.  Waffle House!!!!!  Texas BBQ omfg!!!!!!!!!!!  Florida catfish...yum.  (Alien lex) Cali for the Mexican food. NYC has the best food man I love bagels and pizza good luck finding that anywhere else.

Sixth interview. First phone one!

Picture
Guess who I got to phone today? Jamskillet! :) Mhm! It was a nice one too! Well here's how it went!

1. Who is your celebrity crush?
Katy Perry. She is very pretty and talented as a singer.

2. What would you be doing if you weren't a rapper?
Probably looking for a job, something pleasant. I would also be in college.

3. Who do you think is the most overrated rapper, and why?
Trinidad James, Chief Keef, and Lil Beef. Not really rappers. Their lyrics aren't brilliant.

4. Who do you think is the most underrated rapper and why?
Tori Lanes. Because he is really good and no one knows who is. He's a upcoming underground rapper. Check him out.

5. Who do you think is the hottest female in the music industry?
Jessica Simpson. She's really talented and pretty.

Fifth interview!

Picture
Danggggg! Second day, fifth interview! Hahahaha I am on a role! So cool!! :) This time it is young rapper Legin!! I met him at Starbucks, and asked for a small sit down interview. Pretty cool, right? C:

1. What is your favorite hobby?
Writing screen plays and film making. I recently have come out with a short film called "Promise". I like to also direct them and hope to put them into film festivals.

2. Are you single? [A few of the female fans have been wondering this] According to my tax papers, I am. Hahaha. But no.  I have a loving girlfriend and we have been together for three years.

3. What's your favorite season?
Summer. Because it feels like a true vacation, and it gives me time to focus on my hobbies, such as music, movies, hanging with friends, and my girlfriend. It gives me time to free my mind, because school is not in session.

4. What rock bands would you collab with?
I would collab with Fun, The Doors, and Linkin Park.

5. Would you like to perform at Warped?
I would perform anywhere, but Warped tour would not attract the audience that would like my genre. But I would do it anyway, because you can get new listeners, and how cool it is to influence someone to like your music!

Fourth interview now!

Picture
Wow! That was fast! [That's what she said. LOL] Alright, I got my fourth interview done in a quick amount of time! I love fast people. Anyways, let's check it out from Dave Farese[The Digitals] C:
1.  What is your favorite color?
I'm colorblind so i don't see colors, it makes mixing and master tracks difficult at time because i cant color coat them.

2. Would you ever collab with artists like Kei$ha, Far East Movement?
I would!  I love both of those artists, and i def feel like they are in our lane as far as genre and fan-base.

3. What do you guys do for fun, aside from making music?
Me and Ian Drink alot......prob more than a band that isn't signed or that popular should, I'd say we're co dependent on each other for two things, making music, and getting drunk.

4. What is your favorite animal? Favorite animal has gotta be a kangaroo, how does the baby get into the pouch? no one knows!

5. What country would you like to tour too?
I'd like to tour the u.s. first and foremost, we have been gaining momentum but we are still no where near where we need to be in order to do a full country tour.

So. Third time''s the charm right? :)

Picture
Well my third interview! And cheers to The Arekusandaa Project for responding! ^_^ So let's get on it! ;D
1. Is your fashion theme inspired by Visual Kei? [Genre of Japanese Rock. Very glamorous and fancy]

A.Yes, we are inspired by visual kei-fashion, but every member have other influences besides that as well. Both SaSa and Arekusandaa wears a variety of clothes and "styles", both on-stage and off-stage, but get's a lot of inspiration from Japanese and Gothic fashion. Arekusandaa goes for "celegant" and SaSa for "pretty", while Fredrik has a more overall "metal"-style, mainly influenced by north american metal-bands and K finds inspiration in both old and new VK, but also from gothic styles and steampunk.

2. Where in the states, do you guys really want to perform and why?
Arekusandaa and Fredrik would love to go to Los Angeles and New York:
Arekusandaa: "Since it's seems to be quite a good music-scene over there"
Fredrik: "I don´t think there is any place that i don´t want to play at, most fun or awesome though would be Los angeles or New york."
K would also like to go to NYC since she's been there before and she thinks it's a very cool place.
SaSa already visited Los Angeles, but would love to re-visit, since she then could meet old friends and once again visit the tourist-attractions, but adds:
"But, if I’m going to pick somewhere in the states that I haven’t visited, I would say somewhere in Florida – I SO want to visit Harry Potter-land!!!!"

3. How did you guys come together as a band? [What's the full story?]
Arekusandaa started TAP as a project in mid-2011, and begun searching for members. He meet a couple of interesting musicians, and did some colabs, but never really met anyone he would stand to be in a band with until suddenly SaSa and K appeared.
SaSa found TAP through an add that Arekusandaa had flowing around the internet, and K was a friend of a friend to him. .
Then, Fredrik appeared. Arekusandaa and Fredrik knew about each other since before, but never really talked or hanged out before TAP. So, we all rehearsed, and suddenly - the band was complete.

4. What American bands inspires you guys?
SaSa says , after a brief moment of thinking: "Evanescence".
K has a thing for Dream Theater and Aretha Franklin, and Arekusandaa mostly listens to Frank Sinatra and London After Midnight, while Fredrik says "slipknot, Pantera and kill switch engage."

5. Who is your favorite American musician[Everyone has to answer individually]
Sasa: Well, I am currently in some pop/rock stage, and the only American band in that gang that I’m listening much to and love is All Time Low… the rest seams to be Canadian actually!
Otherwise I always had a thing for old Black veil Brides (before they got Really, really famous), Evanescence (I like there old time more too), My chemical Romance, Paramore (Back in the old days, when Josh and Zac Farro still was a part of the band.), Papa Roach… and the list can be pretty longer, but I don’t think it’s THAT interesting.
K: Dream Theater.
Fredrik: My favorite musician i have to say is "Corey Taylor", he is a true god of music and can take any genre and make it awesome and most importantly, make you feel.
Arekusandaa: Puh, yet again, tricky!
Frank Sinatra and London After Midnight is probably my all time favorite of American musicians, but over the years I also grown quite fond of Jimmy Eat World (the albums before "Futures") and MCR (first two albums).

My Second Interview![I is on a roll!]

Picture
So..guys! I emailed the band Overworld[Swedish band!]
And they were very kind to answer these questions!

1. What American bands would you guys like to collide with?
A.We've been compared to bands like Black Veil Brides and Falling in Reverse a lot, and we think it would be great to play together with them. We're very lucky to share the same type of dedicated fans.

2. What's your guys favorite food/meal to eat while on the road?
A.Varies a lot from member to member. Andie loves sushi. Kaz is a sucker for cheeseburgers. What we eat depends largely on where we are.

3. What brought you guys together[seeing how some of you guys are from different bands]?
A.ndie & Nikke were in the same band in Gothenburg, Kaz was from another one in Stockholm. The guys met when their old bands were on a coupling tour. When these bands broke up, they got together and started a new project, with Andie & Nikke moving to Stockholm. Then Endigo & Lynx were found, having also been in other bands before.

4. To Lynx: What's it like to tour and travel with a bus full of guys? [Do you first dibs on the bathroom and bed since your a girl?]
A.. Lynx: I never get first dibs on anything, it's a jungle out there! I'm not treated like proper lady.. then again, I'm no proper lady haha! We're quite a bunch of interesting people. The guys doing their stage make-up, and we only have one mirror? Never I would get first dibs on that. It's a war I tell you! But I have a secret weapon, I have a handmirror - smart ey? Don't tell them! Here's a story that describes the tours quite good: The first time I slept at Overworld HQ I slept on the floor since I didn't knew the guys that well. I didn't want to share a bed with them. Nowdays I don't really care, if there aren't enough beds for everyone, I just sleep in the same bed as the guys. It can get quite crowded haha! So I'm more like one of the guys you know, my lady time is over since long ago! They are my brothers. That's an equal society for ya haha!

5. What inspires you guys to keep going forward, even when negativity falls
down on your band?
A.Our amazing fans, our love for music, and our extreme unwillingness to let go of our dreams.

MY FIRST INTERVIEW!!

Picture
So I was emailing the leader singer of Tetrafusion(Gary) and got some nice answers! Boy did he respond quick! It made me very happy that he had really well written responses, none of those "Yeah.. Right." type of reponse. I hope this interview makes you lovely peeps happy to read as I am typing this!!

1: What influenced you guys to come
together and form a band?
. We were all friends at the time in high school and wanted to get together and
play some gigs on the side, firstly as a jazz combo and then later as a prog
rock gig. We wrote all of our own music; didn't even bother with covers for a
very long time, and when we did it was only one or two in a whole night.

2:Who is your favorite musician(any genre)
Personally, that's a very tough call to make. I'd like to say...those musicians
I have been able to interact with in person, whether they be mentors/teachers,
friends or strangers, those with whom you can feel their passion for their
craft.

3:Who would you guys collide with on a song that is from a completely different genre say: Pop, or Hip Hop?
One of these pop singers with that belty jazz tone. Someone who knows their
modes and meters, preferably ;)

4: If you guys weren't in a band, what jobs would each of you guys
have?
Brooks would be a teacher, I would be a lounge singer, Mark would be a dad, and
JC would be...a hair dresser.

5:What inspires you guys to stay together as band through the tough
times?
Knowing our roots. Knowing where we began, that we were (and still are) all good
friends. It's knowing that you ARE going to have difficult times, and knowing
that if you push through them, eventually something good will come of it, with
time.

"Behind the Fallen"

Picture

Hopefully I can schedule with hot and upcoming band Behind the fallen! So far I've contacted their bassists and requested a nice lovely interview. Wish me luck :). If I can I'll try to record it and sure as hell will post it for you lovelies! ♥
